🎭🎉 Spontaneity, originality, improvisation and genius are the ingredients of the Sannicandrese Carnival 2024. In San Nicandro Garganico warm up the engines: the 11, 12,13 and 18 February returns to the traditional and historic event. The City has entrusted the organization of the Sannicandrese Carnival to the Pro Loco chaired by the lawyer Alessandro Calello, which deals with it in collaboration with other associations. The event, which has over 170 editions, is organized under the patronage of the Puglia Region, the Province of Foggia, the Gargano National Park and the City of Oil.
The origins of masquerades, Lu Dittë (street theatre) and concertini (musical groups) are lost in the mists of time. The associations have already revealed the themes of the allegorical floats: the Association Esperanza this year chooses the legendary 80s; Hungry for Joy is inspired by Toy Story 'Towards fun and beyond...'; San Nicandro Generation opts for the cartoon dress code with his 'Cartoon Carnival Party'; The Fools of Night organize 'A sweet Carnival' promising two evenings of pure fun on February 11 and 13 and desserts at will. To the parades of the carts the groups in mask are added. Last year the success of the Peroni group, made up of 18 relatives and friends aged between 7 and 52, which depopulated on social media, crossed the provincial and regional boundaries.
The concerts play songs of the Sannicandrese tradition. The rehearsals of the wagons dance follow one another. It also repeats the historical parade of the shepherd and the tacky, traditional clothes. 'The actors are you' is the claim. It promises a great show with parades by the overwhelming rhythm. 🎭🎉
