The choice to diversify its agri-food production stems from the Di Martino family's passion for the land and its finest fruits. The cereal-based company is located in Chieuti in the province of Foggia. Cereals are grown here, but also vegetables, legumes and industrial tomatoes. In this wonderful area near the sea, the fields are surrounded by Mediterranean scrub and it is not uncommon to encounter protected and highly valuable botanical species.
The olive farm in Trani extends over 176 hectares and has a very ancient tradition. In fact, most of these olive trees were planted by the ancestors of the current administrators. The centuries-old plants of the Coratina cultivar, in an impeccable vegetative state, have been joined over the last 10 years by 15 hectares of intensive olive groves of the Peranzana, Nocellare, Bella di Spagna and Phicoline cultivars.
The need to create an independent olive mill so as to personally follow every stage of the transformation of olives into oil has always been a fixed idea of the family. It is said that an internal one was created on the property as early as 1800, although due to various circumstances it never managed to be put into operation. The company today boasts a splendid oil mill immersed in the evocative landscape of Masseria Perpetua: a great source of pride but also a concrete way to control the purity of the oil from production to bottling.
Schinosa extra virgin olive oil, cold extracted from native olives, contains in its extraordinary flavor all the charm of our land. Thanks to cutting-edge technologies and the wisdom of peasant tradition, our oil stands out for its authenticity, innate beneficial properties, and richness in polyphenols and vitamin E.
