Pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 (hereinafter "Privacy Code") and Article 13 of EU Regulation no. 2016/679 (hereinafter "GDPR 2016/679"), providing for the protection of individuals and other subjects regarding the processing of personal data, we wish to inform you that the personal data you provide will be processed in compliance with the aforementioned legislation and the confidentiality obligations to which the Mediterranean Network is bound

Purposes of processing

The personal data you provide is necessary for the institutional purposes of the Entity.

The processing will be carried out both automatically and manually, in compliance with the provisions of Art. 32 of GDPR 2016/679 and Annex B of Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Articles 33-36 of the Code) on security measures, by persons specifically appointed and in accordance with the provisions of Art. 29 GDPR 2016/679.

We inform you that, respecting the principles of lawfulness, purpose limitation, and data minimization, according to Art. 5 GDPR 2016/679, upon your free and explicit consent given at the bottom of this information, your personal data will be kept for the time necessary to achieve the purposes for which it is collected and processed.

Scope of communication and dissemination

We also inform you that the collected data will never be spread and will not be communicated without your explicit consent, except for the necessary communications that may involve the transfer of data to public bodies, consultants, or other subjects for the fulfillment of legal obligations.

Transfer of personal data

Your data will not be transferred either to Member States of the European Union or to third countries outside the European Union.

Special categories of personal data

Under Articles 26 and 27 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and Articles 9 and 10 of EU Regulation 2016/679, you may confer data categorized as “special categories of personal data”, that is, data that reveals "racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, as well as genetic data, biometric data intended to uniquely identify a natural person, data concerning health or a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation". Such categories of data may be processed only upon your free and explicit consent, manifested in written form

Rights of the Data Subject

At any time, you may exercise your rights according to Art. 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and Articles 15 to 22 of EU Regulation 2016/679, the right to:

  • ask for confirmation of the existence or not of personal data;
  • obtain information about the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be communicated and, where possible, the storage period;
  • obtain the correction and deletion of data;
  • obtain the limitation of processing;
  • obtain data portability, i.e., receive data from a data controller, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and transmit it to another data controller without hindrance;
  • object to processing at any time and also in the case of processing for direct marketing purposes;
  • object to an automated decision-making process relating to natural persons, including profiling;
  • ask the data controller for access to personal data and the correction or deletion of the same or the limitation of processing concerning him or her, as well as to object to their processing, in addition to the right to data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal;
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

The Local Tourism application uses Cookies to make its services simple and efficient for users.

Permissions for access to personal data present on the user’s device

Depending on the specific device used by the user, the application may request certain permissions to access the user’s data present on the device itself, as described below.

Such permissions must be granted by the user before any information can be processed. After granting, the permission can be revoked by the user at any time. To revoke permissions, the user can use the system settings or contact the owner at the contact details provided in this document.

The procedure for controlling permissions may vary depending on the device and the software used by the user.

In the event that the user grants the following indicated permissions, the corresponding personal data may be subject to processing (access, modification, or deletion) by the staff of Local Tourism.

Location permission

Used to access the user’s device location. The application can collect, use, and share the user’s location to provide location-based services. The geographic location of the user is determined in a non-continuous manner. This implies that the application cannot locate the user’s position continuously.

Memory permission

Used to access external shared storage devices including the ability to read and add any items on them.

Push notifications

The staff of Local Tourism can send informative push notifications to users who have agreed to receive notifications.
