Puglia has always been the land of oil par excellence and will continue to be so.
History is not deceiving: it brings with it many traces and documents, testifying to a centrality that saw Puglia as an absolute protagonist on the Italian and world stage.
It is in the countryside of Andria, in the heart of this Region where Coratina uniformly carpeted the countryside, that the COVAN cooperative took shape over half a century ago. It was some farmers, intent on giving a turning point to their work and their lives, who embraced modernity and progress, abandoning old and obsolete systems, aware that true tradition is precisely the one that knows how to innovate.
Today, COVAN is an industrious and efficient production reality. It has 70 members who cultivate approximately 1,200 hectares of specialized olive groves. It's called “Cona delle Puglie”, the brand that distinguishes the production under the COVAN signature, and it is the guarantee of a multi-voiced work, where dreams and aspirations have been translated into concrete reality.
