'Fridays in the Workshop' at Centonove/Novantasei: A Journey Through Books, Flavors, and Workshops
Foggia is gearing up to welcome Christmas with 'Fridays in the Workshop,' a series of events organized at ‘centonove/novantasei.’ From October 25 to December 6, these gatherings will offer a mix of stories, tastes, and hands-on activities, promoting the knowledge of local authors and fostering social inclusion for individuals in vulnerable situations.
The first event is scheduled for Friday, October 25, at 6:30 PM, featuring the presentation of the book ‘White Phalenopsis’ (Scatole Parlanti Editore) by local author Maria Giovanna Ciletti. Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a tasting session hosted by the cooperative Ortovolante, which supports job inclusion pathways for vulnerable individuals through social agriculture.
The program continues on October 31 with a creative workshop titled ‘Do You Know We’re Making the Dead’s Socks?’, led by participants of the ‘SAI Candela Vulnerabili’ project. On November 8, Alessandro Galano will present his book ‘School of Saints.’ On November 15, the event ‘At the Table with Pasta Centonove/Novantasei and Volìo Oil’ will showcase typical local products.
On November 22, the cycle will continue with the novel ‘Accidental Collisions’ by Adelmo Monachese. The theme of taste will be central again on November 29 with the meeting ‘Divine and Christmas Sweets,’ which will feature ethical, solidarity-based products liberated from the mafia. The program will conclude on December 6 with ‘Volìo Honey,’ an opportunity to learn about and taste honey produced by Ortovolante and guests from ‘Casa per la Vita Brecciolosa.’
These events represent a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in local culture and support inclusion initiatives, promoting a Christmas rich in meaning and sharing.
