Informations

A rock voice and an Orchestra gather on the same stage to re-propose the epic titles and timeless classics of the legendary English group Queen and their vocalist Freddie Mercury who, together, have made music history. Songs that come to life with the voice of Antonello Carozza, a singer known to the general public thanks to the talent show ‘The Voice’, first in Russia and then in Italy, and through the sound of the Orchestra Suoni del Sud, a group that for the occasion will be directed by Roberto Molinelli, author of the original arrangements. The event will take place on January 17th in San Severo on the stage of the Giuseppe Verdi Municipal Theatre, with the curtain at 8:30 pm. The event is part of the 57th concert season of the ‘Amici della Musica’ of San Severo led by Professor Gabriella Orlando.

There is no Queen song that cannot be considered a rock masterpiece: each is reworked by Molinelli in a crescendo of emotions, reappearing in an unprecedented classical guise and transforming, from time to time, into the dramatic tale of the human and artistic story of Freddie Mercury, a true icon of his time, as is the rest of the band, a musical and cultural reference point for entire generations. “Mercury's character, of great cultural and artistic importance – comments Professor Orlando – whose musical journey we will retrace through listening to the melodies he sang together with Queen. Another moment of comparison for a Concert Season increasingly discovering other musical genres”.

A rousing concert, a tailcoat tribute dedicated exclusively to the memorable music of Freddie Mercury with ‘Queen in Symphony’ featuring the British group's most epic and timeless songs: from ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ to ‘Somebody to Love’, from ‘Radio Ga Ga’ to ‘The Show Must Go On’ via ‘One Vision’, ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘I Want It All’, ‘Innuendo’ and many more. Songs that, in all their overwhelming splendor and thanks to the perfect fusion of classical and rock, come to life again in the voice of Antonello Carozza and in the symphonic sound of the Orchestra Suoni del Sud conducted by Roberto Molinelli, author of the original arrangements.

There isn't a song that can't be considered a masterpiece: each is reworked in a crescendo of emotions through dialogue–a challenge between a rock band and a symphony orchestra, to reappear in a new classical guise and become a tale of the extraordinary artistic and human story of Freddie Mercury and Queen.
