On Monday, January 19th, at 9 pm at the Teatro Comunale Giuseppe Verdi in San Severo, Michele Riondino will be performed with the show ‘Art’ by Yasmina Reza and with Michele Sinisi and Daniele Parisi. The sets are by Vito Giuseppe Zito, the costumes by Silvia Segoloni and the direction by Michele Riondino.
Tickets are on sale at the Theatre box office every day from 10am to 12pm and from 6pm to 8pm.
The show will take place as follows: “My friend Serge bought a painting” announces Marc, alone on stage, as the curtain opens. “It is a canvas measuring approximately one meter and sixty by one meter and twenty, painted white. The bottom is white, and when you squint you can see thin diagonal threads, white”. Thus begins Art, the most acted contemporary French comedy in the world. Three longtime friends organize to spend an evening together, and the aforementioned white picture with white stripes transforms, line after line, into the catalyst that brings to light neuroses, resentments, and rivalries that have remained dormant until now. In this cruel and funny comedy about friendship, the increasingly venomous and cutting exchanges come to expose the fragile scaffolding of the relationship between Marc, Serge, and Yvan, built on selfishness, vanity, and hypocrisy. In this black comedy, Yasmina Reza touches on peaks of cruel comedy, she has fun and makes us have fun, because we laugh a lot, even if the smile is increasingly drawn, as the melancholy emerges.
