Old, nearly unusable chairs that have returned to their function. Who tell stories, share dreams, express emotions. Through art, creativity, fantasy. The experiences lived. Like those of the young people welcomed into the Educational Community ‘Michele Panella’ of the Municipality of Orsara di Puglia and managed by the social cooperative ‘Medtraining’ who on Friday, January 16th will stage ’Sedie in movimento’, a small theatrical performance that will become a story of their daily lives, of their lives within the Orsara community. The performance, curated by director and screenwriter Giulia Cerrone, will take place at 5 pm in the premises of the Community Library ‘A.LI.’, in Largo San Michele, with free admission.
The director herself has curated the chair workshop in recent months, accompanied by the theater workshop, with the aim of expressing herself, telling something about herself, and giving vent to improvisation. After recovering the chairs with the help of the operators, the children from the Educational Community took brushes and paints to embellish and decorate them. A way to give voice and history to their life, their journey, their past; to release sensations and share thoughts. The Educational Community ‘Michele Panella’ of Orsara di Puglia is a residential reception facility for minors, unaccompanied or in a state of problem in their family unit, with educational and social support purposes
