Informations

The historic center of Pietramontecorvino, known as Terravecchia, maintains its original medieval urban layout, with tuff dwellings, partly obtained by directly digging the tufa rock. In the historic center stands the monumental complex of the town formed by the Ducal Palace, the Norman-Angevin Tower and the Mother Church.

The center is characterized by the classic narrow and twisted alleys, often closed by “menial” constructions with defense functions. It is accessed by passing through a beautiful ogival Gothic arch called "Port'Alta".
