On Saturday, August 2, 2025, the historic center of Roseto Valfortore comes alive with scents and flavors thanks to Notes of Truffle, an event dedicated to the “diamond of the earth”, organized in collaboration with the Mediterranean Network.
Starting at 7:00 PM in Piazza Bartolomeo III Di Capua, the live cooking show “The Truffle Challenge” will see two top chefs face off in a culinary duel to showcase the evening’s star ingredient: the truffle. Competing chefs are Francesco Russo, from the Tulleje Mmalleje restaurant in Roseto Valfortore, and Antonio Fiorilli, from Il Fauno in San Bartolomeo in Galdo. The event will be hosted by Giovanni Vigilante, journalist and Foggia TV presenter, and enriched by stories and insights from truffle expert Peppe Rossi. The show will be broadcast live on a LED wall with multi-camera production and accompanied by live musical interludes.
After the show, visitors can enjoy a gastronomic tour through the historic streets, with tasting stations and stands arranged into four themed islands:
Appetizer Island with typical products
Parmigiano and Truffle Pasta Island
Hanging Caciocavallo Cheese with Truffle Island
“Bombetta” Island – Roseto Truffle Sausage
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Gruppo Popolare Dauno will perform traditional music along the way, creating an unforgettable summer vibe.
