The production of our pasta comes from over 100 years of experience. Even today, our guidelines are rooted in respect for our tradition and the secrets passed down from generation to generation by skilled master pasta makers who have made Tamma pasta the extraordinary goodness that we proudly bring to our tables and yours every day.
The entrepreneurial history of the Tamma family began in the 19th century when they started producing pasta in a small laboratory in Bari. Since then, several generations have followed, making Tamma a point of reference in the pasta and milling industry through commitment and dedication. The documented history begins in 1907 when Francesco Tamma founded F. Tamma & C.
In 1933, Raffaele Tamma, son of Francesco, acquired a mill and pasta factory in Cerignola, producing the pasta that still carries his name today. In the late 1960s, Raffaele Tamma, together with his brother-in-law Giulio Carella, purchased a plot of land in Foggia on Corso del Mezzogiorno, where they built the first mill, followed by a second one in the late 1970s. On the same plot of land, a state-of-the-art automated warehouse was built in the 1990s.
In 2004, with the aim of increasing its presence among pasta producers and optimizing costs, Tamma established a modern pasta factory in Foggia, integrating it with the mills and warehouse. It is undoubtedly one of the most technologically advanced pasta factories in the entire national panorama.
