“Tracce sul Novecento” Exhibition in Foggia
From September 1 to 30, 2025, the Contemporanea Galleria d’Arte of Giuseppe Benvenuto (Viale Michelangelo 65, Foggia) will host the exhibition Tracce sul Novecento (Traces of the Twentieth Century), a journey through the works of 25 major international artists who shaped the history of 20th-century visual art.
Curated by Giuseppe Benvenuto, the exhibition features original works by Picasso, Dalí, Schifano, Lichtenstein, Warhol, Pomodoro, Obey, Rauschenberg, and many others, offering a wide panorama of the century’s artistic evolution.
The show is conceived not as a simple classification of abstraction, figuration, or informal art, but as a narrative that intertwines different artistic voices from the same decades, creating a dialogue between movements and masters.
“The aim – explains Benvenuto – is to build a story where diverse works and experiences coexist, showing how the same times generated different yet complementary languages. An opportunity to transform art into history.”
