In Southern Italy, "La Contróra" is that moment of the day when you stay at home, rest, or gather around a table; it is a voluntary interruption of the flow of time while waiting for it to resume in daily commitments.
The ticking of clocks, the smell of coffee, and the silence of the streets ritualize its existence. Outside, you can only hear the echo of a few solitary voices breaking "the sacred prohibition" of staying outside.
La Contróra delivers tired bodies from the morning's efforts to a well-deserved rest. These wines aim to preserve the traditions, places, and ancient wisdom of Capitanata for future memory.
Contróra wines is a young and courageous winemaking project from Puglia. We vinify the most representative grapes of our province: Bombino, Fiano, Nero di Troia, Primitivo.
