The Treasure of the Cathedral of Troia includes silverware (17th century statues, 15th century candlesticks, a 17th century tabernacle, a 16th century pastoral staff), gilded bronzes, sacred vestments, ivories (12th-18th century), illuminated parchments, among which the three liturgical scrolls of the Exultet (12th and 13th centuries)
The first Exultet measures cm. 268 ca. in length and 20 approx. wide. The text is inspired by the Beneventan liturgy, the writing is from the peripheral area of Benevento with graphic-typological elements from Cassino or Bari (G. Cavallo). According to P. Amato and S. Inouye, it was probably written in the city of Troia itself.
The second Exultet measures cm. 190.5 in length and 21 in width. The text is inspired by the Beneventan liturgy, the Beneventan script is accurate with influences of the Cassinese type and traces of the Bari type. Also this find is "linked to the book activity documented in the Troia of the eleventh-twelfth centuries" (G. Cavallo).
The third Exultet measures cm. 651 approx. in length and 25 approx. wide. The text is inspired by the Franco-Roman liturgy, called the Volgata. The writing is Beneventan of the purest Cassinese type. "It is a local product, perhaps flowering in the shadow of that Episcopium Trojanum of the second half of the 12th century." (G. Cavallo).
