Informations
Giorgio Vanni, the iconic voice behind countless cartoon theme songs, will take the stage at the Festival del Nerd on Sunday, May 11 at 9:00 PM, ready to deliver an explosive grand finale.
Born in Milan in 1963, Giorgio Vanni began his music career in the early 1980s by founding the band Tomato, with whom he toured Italy for over a decade. In 1992, he brought the group to the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Sai cosa sento per te." Two years later, he released the album "Grande Cuore," produced by Eugenio Finardi, who also wrote most of the lyrics. In 1995, Vanni became a regular on the TV show "Generazione X," hosted by Ambra Angiolini.
That same year, he began a successful collaboration with Max Longhi, producing songs for major artists such as Laura Pausini, Ricardo Montaner, Mietta, and Sergio Dalma. They also created hits for the Japanese market, including "Super Lover" for the boy band W-inds and "Banzai" performed by Misa.
Together, they founded Lova Music, a production company focused primarily on music for television. Since 1998, they have composed some of the most beloved cartoon theme songs, including Pokémon, Dragon Ball, Detective Conan, One Piece, and many more—some of which were performed by Cristina D’Avena.
