Great Italian singer-songwriter music arrives on the Gargano. On May 10, Piazza Giannone in Cagnano Varano will turn into an open-air theatre to host one of the most beloved and refined artists of the Italian music scene: Michele Zarrillo.
The performance is part of the prestigious “Tour 2026”, a journey that celebrates not only the career of the Roman artist but also a special milestone: the “1996–2026” claim marks thirty years of success that have defined entire generations. A musical path that continues to move both long-time fans and younger audiences, who in recent years have rediscovered iconic songs such as Cinque Giorni, which went viral on social media and earned new recognition.
The concert is titled “L’elefante e la farfalla”, a tribute to the famous song presented at the Sanremo Festival in 1996, which became one of the symbols of Zarrillo’s poetic style. On stage, the artist will take the audience on an emotional journey through his greatest hits—from Una rosa blu to La notte dei pensieri, from L’alfabeto degli amanti to his more recent works—in a show that blends intensity, elegance, and a strong connection with the audience. The setlist, based on previous tour performances, features many of his most beloved songs.
The event also represents the highlight of the week-long celebrations dedicated to Saint Cataldo Bishop and Saint Michael the Archangel, patron saints of Cagnano Varano. An occasion that brings together tradition, culture, and music, transforming the town’s main square into a space of celebration and shared experience.
