Informations

The exhibition "From Futurism to Today" will be open from March 13th to April 30th, 2025, at the Contemporanea Galleria d'Arte in Foggia. The inauguration will take place on Thursday, March 13th, at 6:30 PM.

Conceived by Giuseppe Benvenuto, the gallery director, this exhibition presents a fascinating journey through 20th-century Italian art. The exhibition offers a prestigious selection of 25 unique and original works, belonging to some of the major artistic movements of the last century, from Futurism to Post-War Informal Art, passing through Metaphysical Art, Magical Realism, Abstractionism, and leading up to the more recent artistic trends.

In the exhibition halls, works by Mario Sironi, one of the leading artists of the Futurist group, engage in dialogue with those by Gino Severini and Giulio d'Anna, also prominent figures of this avant-garde. The subsequent works document the evolution of 20th-century Italian art, from Neo-Realism to the more recent artistic movements, featuring renowned artists such as Renato Guttuso, Emilio Vedova, Mimmo Rotella, Mario Schifano, Pino Pascali, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Dadamaino, and many others.
