The Ducal Palace of Pietramontecorvino shows the presence of an Angevin coat of arms which testifies to the thirteenth-century origin of the entire complex.

The three-storey building exhibits an entrance surmounted by a mask that leads into a hall on whose vault there is a fresco with the coat of arms of the dukes Montalto di Tocco and the motto "Duriora decoxi" ("I crushed harder things" ).
