The Lake of Lesina is located in the homonymous municipality in the north of Puglia. With a length of about 22 km, the Lake of Lesina is the ninth Italian lake by extension.
Inside there are many eels, an excellent source of income for the municipality of Lesina.
Lake Lesina is a charming and significant natural attraction located in the northern region of Puglia, between the Gargano promontory and the Tavoliere delle Puglie. With a width of 2.4 kilometers and a length of approximately 22 kilometers, it covers a total area of 51.4 square kilometers, making it the second largest lake in southern Italy. Within the Nature Reserve, you can find the "Laguna di Lesina" Visitor Center of the Gargano National Park, managed by the Italian League for Bird Protection (LIPU).
Lake Lesina is, therefore, an extraordinary natural area, rich in biodiversity and culture, offering a unique experience for those who wish to explore the wonderful beauty of northern Puglia
