The 2025/2026 theater season at Giordano in Foggia continues smoothly. See you on January 17 and 18, 2026, with "Accidental Death of an Anarchist," a comedy co-written by Dario Fo and Franca Rame, and starring Eleonora Giovanardi, Alessandro Federico, Matteo Gatta, Marco Ripoldi, and Roberto Rustioni, directed by Giorgio Gallione.
In 1921, an Italian emigrant “flew” out of the window of the New York police building: this is the episode that Dario Fo uses as a pretext for Accidental Death of an Anarchist, a tragic, hilarious and disturbing farce that after more than fifty years is still performed with great success throughout the world today. The accidental death, so ironically defined by Fo, is actually that of the anarchist Giuseppe Pinelli, who fell on December 15, 1969, from the fourth floor of the Milan Police Headquarters during one of the interrogations relating to the Piazza Fontana massacre. An “active illness”, as the investigation called it.
