Description
Filippo Timi returns to the stage with a new edition of his "Amleto," presenting a reinterpretation that transforms Shakespeare's original text. In this version, every gesture and word become a provocative and personal game, creating a tribute to madness. Timi's Hamlet is a character who is bored, having lost the desire to engage in familial conflicts and no longer wanting to fulfill his predestined role.
Surrounding him are characters portrayed by Timi's company of actresses, who seem to emerge from his deranged mind as he moves like a lion in a cage within a "funeral feast." This dark comedy highlights the fragility of the human mind in the face of tragedy, with a Hamlet who laughs at death, madness, and betrayal.
In this staging, Timi unleashes the vitality of the character, exaggerating the intrinsic comedy of Shakespeare's work with a provocative and lively tone, as if to transform pain into an act of survival.
