The 2025/26 theatre season of the Teatro Comunale S. Mercadante in Cerignola welcomes one of the most iconic and beloved performers of Italian theatre and cinema: Anna Mazzamauro, starring in the musical comedy “Brava, Bravissima… Anche Meno” — an ironic, surreal and irresistibly human journey into the artist’s life and into the theatre itself.
On stage, Mazzamauro returns with her unmistakable energy, joined by Monica Guazzini and maestro Sasà Calabrese at the piano. The show blends self‑irony, live music, variety theatre and theatrical confessions, built with the complicity of a lively ensemble of actors, musicians and technicians who become part of both the story and the scene.
Written by Mazzamauro herself and directed by Livio Galassi, the performance unfolds like an open rehearsal — a metatheatrical game in which the actress reveals herself without filters: memories, inventions, fragilities and strength intertwine in a brilliant rhythm, between irresistible gags, improbable strip‑tease moments and flashes of genuine tenderness.
It is also a declaration of love for the stage and for that audience which, as the artist says, “smiles when I’m gorgeous (even less so) and laughs when I’m brilliant (even more so).”
With set design by Clara Surro, original music by Emanuele Belloni, and costumes by Stefano Paschero, Brava, Bravissima… Anche Meno is a theatrical celebration that invites lightness, irony and the freedom not to take oneself too seriously.
