On May 9 and 10, 2026, the city of San Severo will host the first edition of the “Festival della Peranzana, l’oliva del Principe”, an event dedicated to one of the most iconic olive varieties of the Daunia area.
The festival celebrates the Peranzana olive, known for its dual excellence as both a table olive and a source of high-quality extra virgin olive oil. It offers a journey through flavors, history and local identity, blending agriculture, culture and innovation.
The event will take place in two symbolic locations: Saturday at Palazzo Celestini, and Sunday at Posta del Principe Di Sangro, historically linked to the Di Sangro family.

Promoted by the Associazione La Peranzana together with local institutions and organizations, the festival aims to enhance this unique olive variety as a shared cultural symbol and a driver for development.
