Enrico Ruggeri, one of the most renowned artists in the Italian music scene, will be the headliner on Thursday, April 24th, at the third edition of ‘Orchidays – Nel fiore di Mattinata,’ the international festival dedicated to the wild orchids of Gargano. This event, which blends the beauty of nature with high-quality music, will kick off the festival, taking place from April 24th to 27th.
Ruggeri’s career began in 1972 when, at just 15 years old, he formed his first band, Josafat, which later transformed into Champagne Molotov in 1974. In 1977, after merging with the band Trifoglio, the group became Decibel, and in 1978, they released their first album. After 1981, he embarked on a solo career, also becoming a successful songwriter with hits like "Il mare d'inverno," written for Loredana Bertè.
Ruggeri gained further recognition in the music world with songs like "Rien ne va plus," "Mistero," and "Contessa," but it was with "Si può dare di più," sung with Umberto Tozzi and Gianni Morandi, that he won the Sanremo Festival in 1987. His performance in Mattinata is a unique opportunity to experience one of Italy's most beloved artists live, set against the stunning backdrop of nature.
