On Sunday 18th at 9pm, APS ‘Anna Magnani’ returns to the Teatro Regio with the brilliant comedy ‘Dino and the Pearl’ written and starring Margherita Caravello, directed by Emanuela Caruso, with Riccardo Pieretti in the role of Dino.ù

The show moves on two scenic levels: the concrete reality made up of gestures, misunderstandings, and everyday life, and the very private human interior, that inadmissible place where fears, desires, emotional addictions, and the need to be truly seen lurk. On stage are them: she who has a lot of fears and the honesty and courage to recognize them, he who has a lot of contradictions and knows how to argue them all. They are two sensitive, intelligent and desperate, like many others. They provoke, they counter, they tell each other in rivers of words the opposite of what is true. Less and less. Until there is nothing left to say but one's own truth. Until you gain a new freedom.

At its core, current and profound themes: social isolation, addictions (affective and otherwise), dysfunctional relationships, eating disorders, parent–child relationships, and that constant contradiction between reason and emotion that everyone encounters sooner or later. Delicate topics that the comedy addresses with a mixture of irony and intimacy, capable of bringing both adults and the very young closer together, who often find in ‘Dino and the Pearl’ a finally recognizable emotional language.

“After the wonderful experience of the show ‘Un caffè with Alda Merini’ during the previous season at the Teatro Regio – declares Carlo Bonfitto, president of ‘Enarchè aps’ – this year too the APS Anna Magnani returns to be our guest with a very interesting show of social theatre. In fact, we have always been careful to bring particular themes to the stage because we are convinced that comedy has the task of sending messages aimed above all at young people”.
