PINOCCHIO A4

What happens when stories end because the paper to write them on has run out? "PINOCCHIO A4" starts from this bizarre setback. The show by the Piccola Compagnia Impertinente will make a stop in Vico del Gargano in the splendid setting of Piazza San Domenico. The protagonist of the story is Edoardo Scartato, a "Cartautore" (a Paper-songwriter)—an artist who sings and tells stories made of paper. Edoardo is desperate: his colleagues have consumed page after page even for the shortest of nursery rhymes, and now he finds himself without materials to complete his album. Coming to his rescue is Lucio Colla, his best friend and the keeper of a precious secret: the only paper that never runs out is "Carta Vissuta" (Lived Paper), the kind that already has a story to tell.

But to make this magic work, the theater needs its most important element: the audience.

Every pair of parents and children is invited to participate by bringing a piece of "lived paper" from home. Together, spectators and actors will transform the square into a true "paper station," where the tracks become "paper-tracks" and cross paths with the destinies of the fairy tale characters. The most famous wooden puppet in the world is transformed here into a fluttering cardboard silhouette, ready to face challenges, encounters, and journeys. Will Lucio, Edoardo, and the young spectators manage to help Pinocchio finish his adventure and bring to life the first musical album made entirely of "lived paper"?
