## 6th Trofeo Pizza Garganica: Vieste hosts the challenge between local master pizza makers
On **Monday, 20 October 2026**, Vieste will host the **6th Trofeo Pizza Garganica**, an event organised by the **Associazione Pizzaioli Garganici** to celebrate pizza-making, local products and the area's food and wine culture.
The event will take place at **Ripamare**, on Lungomare Enrico Mattei 15/b, bringing together numerous **master pizza makers from across the province of Foggia**, ready to showcase their experience, technique and creativity.
Participants will compete using both **wood-fired and electric ovens**, while their creations will be evaluated by a **technical jury of industry professionals**.
Created to promote the talent and professionalism of pizza makers from the Gargano area, the Trofeo Pizza Garganica has become an important meeting point for professionals in the sector and an opportunity to showcase local gastronomic excellence and Mediterranean culinary traditions.
### Competition categories
The 2026 edition will feature **three main categories**:
- **Calici & Spicchi**
- **Pizza & Olio**
- **Paposcia Garganica**
The competition will also include the **“Antonella Amodio” Special Awards**, including **Pizza Cromatica** and **Originalità**, recognising the most creative combinations of pizza, wine, olive oil and local products.
Supported by the **Province of Foggia** and the **Municipality of Vieste**, the **6th Trofeo Pizza Garganica** will be a day dedicated not only to competition, but also to discovering and promoting the gastronomic traditions and flavours of the Gargano area.
