APERILIBRO CON L’AUTORE PER “NESSUNA SI SALVA DA SOLA”

With the beginning of the new year, Nessuna si salva da sola continues its cultural activities aimed at raising awareness of gender-based violence through the arts. After theatre and cinema, the project now introduces a new and engaging format that blends literature and conviviality: the AperiLibro with the author.

The event will take place on Saturday, January 17th, 2026 at 7:30 PM, at Elda Cantine in Troia (Lotto 9, Comparto 21). The evening will feature Giancarlo Alessandro Stefano Caporale, who will present his debut novel Il Padre della Sposa in a moment of open dialogue and shared reflection.

Joining the author in conversation will be Rosanna Di Francesco, coordinator of the Nessuna si salva da sola project, and Lucia Melchiorre, a secondary school teacher. The talk will be followed by an aperitif dinner at the winery, designed as an informal moment for exchange and connection.

The novel explores the experience of separation from a male perspective, giving voice to three fathers – Lorenzo, Davide and Ludovico – from different generations and social backgrounds. Their seemingly distant stories intertwine in a powerful narrative that brings unresolved memories, wounds and family dynamics to the surface.

Rather than offering answers, Caporale invites readers to reflect, to move beyond stereotypes, and to restore dignity and attentive listening to fathers and children involved in separation processes. The book highlights the risk of deep and lasting emotional fractures that may deprive younger generations of essential points of reference. The narrative balances strong emotional moments with sociological insights, maintaining harmony between personal introspection and social analysis.

The event supports the crowdfunding campaign “Ali di libertà”, aimed at creating a public sculpture by artist Pino Di Gennaro, to be installed in the municipal park of Troia. The artwork will commemorate Federica Ventura, murdered in a femicide on February 16th, 2018, and all women who have suffered violence.
