Informations

On Sunday, May 24, 2026, one of the most anticipated events for cycling and nature lovers returns: the fourth edition of “Monte Cornacchia E-Bike – Pedaling through the Monti Dauni,” a cycling tourism event that combines sport, landscape, and conviviality.

The initiative, promoted by the Municipality of Roseto Valfortore together with Pro Loco Roseto Valfortore, Civil Protection AVRV, BikeFortore, and Green Bike Roseto, in collaboration with the Municipality of Faeto, is part of a broader effort to enhance the Monti Dauni area, attracting participants from across the region each year. The cycling associations involved have carefully designed the routes, selecting the most scenic stretches and the most representative views of the area.

The program

The circular route starts and ends in Roseto Valfortore, with an intermediate stop in Faeto. Departure is scheduled for 9:30 AM, with arrival expected around 1:30 PM at the municipal park. The route covers approximately 35 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 800 meters and a medium level of difficulty, making it accessible to a wide range of cyclists, also thanks to the option of renting e-bikes.

The route passes through some of the most picturesque locations in the area, including the Belvedere of the Fortore Valley, the Faeto Forest, and several panoramic roads offering unique views over the Monti Dauni. The estimated duration is between 3 and 4 hours.

Welcome and refreshments

Upon arrival in Faeto, participants will be welcomed with a refreshment buffet featuring fresh fruit, dried fruit, and water. The return to Roseto Valfortore will include a convivial moment open to all, with lunch at the recreational area in the Paduli locality and musical entertainment by DJ Luciano.

Organizers recommend that participants bring a helmet, water, a smartphone, and layered clothing suitable for changing mountain conditions. The event is designed not only as a sporting experience but also as an opportunity for social interaction and discovering the territory.

By combining sustainable mobility, slow tourism, and territorial promotion, “Monte Cornacchia E-Bike” confirms itself as an event capable of showcasing the authentic identity of the Monti Dauni, through nature, culture, and community.
