The Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore di Siponto is an important historical and religious monument located near Manfredonia, in the province of Foggia, in the Puglia region of Italy. This basilica is renowned for its architecture that combines Romanesque and Gothic elements and for its ancient history.
The original church of Santa Maria Maggiore di Siponto was built in the early Christian period, but the current structure dates mainly from the 12th century. The basilica is known for its Romanesque style, with Gothic influences visible in parts of the building.
