A Vico il Festival del Teatro Popolare del Gargano

The town of Vico del Gargano is ready to host the fourth edition of the Festival of Popular Theatre of Gargano, scheduled from January 10 to March 15, 2026, at the Lanzetta Municipal Auditorium.

The opening night will take place on Saturday, January 10 at 7:30 PM, launching a programme of 15 events combining comedy, popular theatre and strong civic reflection.

The Neapolitan company Camilla a colazione, winner of last year’s Best Company Award, will open the festival with the comedy Non sono un gigolò, a humorous and surreal performance full of misunderstandings and comic situations. A second performance is scheduled for Sunday, January 11.

Among the highlights of the 2026 edition are a focus on adolescence, addressing its beauty and its fragilities, and a theatrical work dedicated to the Orlandi case, one of the most painful unsolved mysteries in Italy.

On February 28 (with a repeat on March 1), the play Pietro Orlandi, fratello will bring to the stage the story of Emanuela Orlandi, who disappeared in Rome in 1983 at the age of 15.

A particularly significant event will be the January 18 conference on the hikikomori phenomenon, featuring Alberto Pellai and Barbara Tamborini, two of Italy’s most respected experts on adolescence.

Through theatre, debate and cultural exchange, the Festival confirms its role as a vital space for dialogue, reflection and community engagement in the Gargano area.
