The municipality of Carpino dedicates the entire month to promoting gender equality with the initiative “March is Woman 2026”, a program of events and activities aimed at highlighting the role of women in society and raising awareness within the community about equality, respect and solidarity.
The first event of the program will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2026, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, with a symbolic moment for the local community.
The event is organized by the Municipality of Carpino and represents one of the key moments of the initiative dedicated to reflection and active participation on social and cultural themes related to women.
The inauguration of Viale 8 Marzo

During the initiative, the official inauguration of “Viale 8 Marzo” (March 8 Avenue) will take place, a symbolic space dedicated to the memory, dignity and rights of women.
The naming of the avenue represents a concrete sign of the municipal administration’s commitment to promoting a culture based on gender equality and mutual respect.
A moment of community gathering
After the ceremony, a convivial gathering open to the public will also take place in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The event aims not only to celebrate the occasion but also to offer the community an opportunity to come together, share common values and strengthen the sense of collective participation.
The initiative is part of the broader “March is Woman” program, which throughout the month will include additional activities, meetings and awareness initiatives focused on health, prevention and the promotion of women’s role in society.
