Contemporanea Galleria D'Arte in Foggia kicks off its 2024-2025 season with a solo exhibition by Alfonso Fratteggiani Bianchi, a highly respected figure in the international contemporary art scene. Curated by gallerist Giuseppe Benvenuto, the exhibition will be open from November 9, 2024, to January 4, 2025.

Alfonso Fratteggiani Bianchi, born in Pieve Caina (Perugia) in 1952, is best known for his monochromatic paintings on gray sandstone. After years of training in Rome, Florence, and Cologne, Fratteggiani Bianchi developed an artistic language focused on manipulating both color and material. His work is a continuous search for chromatic tones, where the use of sandstone allows for the pure application of pigment without binders, creating an intense interaction between color and texture.

The exhibition features around fifteen monochromatic works, including diptychs and triptychs, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in emotional and reflective atmospheres. As Giuseppe Panza di Biumo states, "The most sensitive people are struck by the works of Fratteggiani Bianchi," which captures the emotional depth that defines each of the artist’s pieces.

Fratteggiani Bianchi's works are held in numerous international collections, including the Panza di Biumo Collection and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, USA.
