The Giuseppe Verdi Theater in San Severo has announced its 2024-2025 season, organized by the Department of Culture in collaboration with "Puglia Culture." The season runs from November 10, 2024, to March 30, 2025, with all shows starting at 9:00 PM.


Opening the season on November 10 is a special, non-subscription performance of the musical Mare fuori, directed by Alessandro Siani, featuring a notable cast including Maria Esposito (Rosa Ricci), Enrico Tijani (Dobermann), Antonio Orefice (Totò), Giuseppe Pirozzi (Micciarella), and Antonio D’Aquino (Milos), along with singer-songwriter Andrea Sannino.


On November 22, Agatha Christie’s classic Witness for the Prosecution will be performed, starring Vanessa Gravina, Giulio Corso, and Paolo Triestino, directed by Geppy Gleijeses. Following this, on November 24, #Puccini100 will pay homage to composer Giacomo Puccini on the centenary of his death, with the Apulia Orchestra and Lyric Choir under the direction of Antonello Ciccone.


Theater of the absurd will take center stage on December 15 with Delirium for Two by Ionesco, directed by Giorgio Gallione and featuring Corrado Nuzzo and Maria Di Biase. The season continues on January 9 with the stage adaptation of Perfect Strangers, directed by Paolo Genovese, starring Dino Abbrescia, Alice Bertini, and others.


Ettore Bassi will take the stage on January 29 with The Mousetrap, while Pirandello Pulp by Edoardo Erba, starring Massimo Dapporto and Fabio Troiano, will be performed on February 5. On February 10, Elio and his musicians will bring the satirical When a Musician Laughs to the stage, directed by Giorgio Gallione.


Also in the lineup is Autumn Garden, based on Diana Raznovich's book, performed on February 20 by the ‘Piccolo Teatro Spazio Off’. On February 26, Ale and Franz will bring Recital to the stage, followed on March 7 by Massimiliano Gallo in Lovers, directed by Ivan Cotroneo.


The final shows of the season include Gabriele Cirilli’s Cirilli & Family on March 16 and Giovanni Esposito’s Welcome to the Esposito Household on March 23. The season will conclude on March 30 with the International Gala of Dance and Musical Theater, artistically directed by Mario Marozzi.


Pre-sales for subscribers will be open from October 30 to November 1, with general ticket sales beginning November 2 and running through November 15.
