Gargano Arte Festival 2026 returns to San Menaio with theatre, music and a tribute to Andrea Pazienza

From 24 July to 13 August 2026, San Menaio, in Vico del Gargano, will host the 7th edition of the Gargano Arte Festival, a cultural event celebrating live performances, music and theatre.

Organised by the Pro Loco of San Menaio and Calenella as part of the Municipality of Vico del Gargano's summer programme, this year's festival features three special evenings dedicated to entertainment and culture. The 2026 edition pays tribute to renowned Italian cartoonist and illustrator Andrea Pazienza, marking the 70th anniversary of his birth and celebrating his strong connection with San Menaio.

24 July 2026 – 9:00 PM

Station Square – San Menaio

The festival opens with an entertaining evening hosted by sports journalist Stefano Meloccaro together with performer and impersonator Antonio Mezzancella, combining music, storytelling, interviews and comedy.

9 August 2026 – 9:30 PM

Station Square – San Menaio

The highlight of the festival will be the national premiere of "Mio, sempre mio Andrea", a theatrical and musical production dedicated to Andrea Pazienza.

Acclaimed actor Sergio Rubini will read some of Pazienza's most personal letters to his family and friends, revealing an intimate portrait of the artist. The performance will also feature the DauniaOrchestra with special guest Giò Sada. Original music by Umberto Sangiovanni, together with newly arranged songs written by Pazienza during the 1970s, will accompany the performance.

13 August 2026 – 9:30 PM

Station Square – San Menaio

The festival concludes with "Porta Pazienza", featuring Max Paiella, who will present a heartfelt tribute to Andrea Pazienza through stories, music and original songs.
