Goblets Under the Stars: discover the night of San Lorenzo in Volturin

The night of San Lorenzo is getting ready to light up one of the most suggestive locations in Capitanata. On Monday, August 10, 2026, starting at 8:30 PM, Volturino will host the new edition of "Calici sotto le Stelle" (Goblets Under the Stars), an event that combines the culture of fine wine, local gastronomic excellence, and the timeless charm of shooting stars, all within the splendid setting of the ancient village known as the "Balcony of Daunia". The event, which has now become a landmark of the summer in the Daunia Mountains, will offer residents, tourists, and food and wine enthusiasts a unique sensory journey. The characteristic narrow streets of the historic center will be transformed into an open-air wine cellar, where it will be possible to taste a selection of the best Apulian and local wines, guided by expert sommeliers and representatives from local wineries.

Not just wine: "Calici sotto le Stelle" is also a celebration of local culinary tradition. Accompanying the glasses will be numerous food stands featuring typical "zero-km" products, ranging from cheeses and cured meats of Daunia to traditional baked goods.

The atmosphere of the evening will be made even more magical by live musical performances echoing through the squares and alleys of the village, providing the perfect soundtrack for a night dedicated to relaxation and conviviality. For lovers of astronomy and romance, Volturino's panoramic position will serve, as it does every year, as a privileged natural observatory to admire the Perseid meteor shower far from the light pollution of big cities.

Participation in the route and access to the village are free, while for the wine tastings, it will be possible to purchase the event kit on-site. This includes the official 2026 edition glass goblet, a custom wine glass pouch, and tickets for the various tastings.
