San Nicandro Garganico: A Magical Christmas with the 12th Edition of “Aspettando Natale and Christmas Markets 2024”

San Nicandro Garganico is ready to embrace the festive spirit with the 12th edition of Aspettando Natale and Christmas Markets 2024. Organized by the Patronal Festival Committee in collaboration with local associations ‘Esperanza,’ ‘Affamati d’Allegria,’ ‘Atletica San Nicandro,’ ‘Arte e Movimento,’ and the municipal administration, the event promises to transform the town into an enchanting Christmas village, blending tradition, culture, and innovation to offer a unique experience for residents and visitors alike.

The Program: From the Opening to the Christmas Magic

The festivities begin on December 1st with the lighting of the Christmas tree in Piazza IV Novembre, a symbolic event that officially kicks off the celebrations.

From December 22nd, the program will reach its peak with the official opening of the Christmas markets and festive lights in the historic center. One of the most anticipated moments will be the inauguration of the Living Nativity Scene, a captivating event that draws visitors from across the Gargano region. On Sunday, December 22nd, the first-ever Santa Claus Race will also debut, involving local schools, with proceeds from the registrations being donated to charity.

Music, Tradition, and Live Performances

The festivities continue with a series of unmissable events. From December 26th to 29th, the evenings will be filled with musical performances and live shows that will bring energy and joy to the town squares. Local artists and bands, such as Ciro Iannacone and Enzo Martini 5et and Gli Intruso Band, will entertain the audience with concerts celebrating art and music.

A Special Epiphany to Conclude in Style

The grand finale is set for January 5th and 6th, 2025, with the last editions of the Christmas markets and live concerts. The Living Nativity Scene will once again enchant visitors, bringing the festivities to a magical and memorable close.
