Foggia Estate 2026
Informations
From June through mid-September, Foggia Summer 2026 will transform the city of Foggia into an open-air cultural stage with a wide-ranging programme of events for residents and visitors alike. Organised by the Municipality of Foggia, the festival brings culture to squares, parks, historic streets, neighbourhoods and surrounding districts across the city.
The programme features music, cinema, theatre, contemporary dance, children's workshops, cultural talks, food festivals and events celebrating the traditions and identity of the local area, offering activities for audiences of all ages.
One of the highlights is Schermi – Cinema Multipiazza, an open-air film festival bringing acclaimed movies to neighbourhood squares together with special guests from the Italian film and television industry. The accompanying Schermini programme offers family-friendly screenings and animated films specially selected for children.
Music will play a central role throughout the summer. The internationally renowned Giordano in Jazz festival will welcome outstanding musicians to Piazza Cesare Battisti, while Non soli… ma ben accompagnati will fill the Villa Comunale with concerts, live performances, tributes to iconic Italian songwriters and unique events combining cinema with live orchestral music.
Families can enjoy weekly creative workshops at Pinacoteca La '900, featuring activities focused on art, archaeology, anthropology, palaeontology and storytelling. The programme also includes children's theatre performances, acting workshops and travelling productions staged in several neighbourhoods across the city.
Contemporary dance takes centre stage with Uni Tanz 2026, an international dance campus hosted at the Teatro Umberto Giordano, while the NU.D.I. festival presents performances inspired by both contemporary theatre and classical Italian storytelling.
The summer calendar also includes public discussions on civil rights, cultural debates, food and wine festivals, traditional local fairs, celebrations of Capitanata's culinary heritage and numerous community events taking place throughout the city.
Among the most anticipated events are the third edition of Foggia Medievale, bringing the historic centre and the Candelaro district back to medieval times through historical re-enactments and live entertainment, and Fafafest – Festival Musicale Fare la Città, which will close the summer season with two days of live music and community celebrations at Slow Park.
With dozens of events scheduled over nearly four months, Foggia Summer 2026 confirms its place as one of the leading cultural programmes in northern Puglia, offering visitors countless opportunities to experience the city's artistic, cultural and community life.
The full programme and regular updates are available through the official communication channels of the Municipality of Foggia and its dedicated social media pages.
